Ian Mattingly

Ian Mattingly has worked at LumaCorp Inc. (which his father founded in 1984) in multiple capacities since returning to Texas in 2007. His current responsibilities include overall oversight of LumaCorp’s daily operations, assisting with the sourcing and underwriting of potential acquisitions for LumaCorp Inc.’s affiliates, managing due diligence on new properties, supervising value-added rehab projects, overseeing budget compliance for LumaCorp-managed properties, and implementing expense control and revenue management solutions. Prior to joining LumaCorp Inc. Mr. Mattingly was a Broker with Apartment Realty Advisors in Denver. He was a key member of the team that opened a new satellite office in Phoenix responsible for over $200 MM in sales within its first year of operation. In addition to preparing and presenting quarterly market reports to national institutional investors, Ian also worked with ARA Denver’s institutional sales team on the underwriting and analysis of over $1 Billion in apartments and multifamily land, all while personally closing over $20 MM in small apartment deals in southern Colorado with his partner, Ken Greene. Before his return to the apartment industry with ARA, Mr. Mattingly worked in business development for the largest privately-held automotive retailer in the state of Colorado. His duties included hiring and training sales staff, call center management, and implementing new CRM and database management tools. Mr. Mattingly is an active member of several real estate industry trade groups and associations, including the Board of the Texas Apartment Association Education Foundation, the TAA Education Conference Committee, the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas Legislative Committee, the Institute for Real Estate Management, the DFW Apartment and Investment Brokers Network, and the Tarrant County Apartment Association where he recently graduated from the AATC Leadership Lyceum. He is also a National Apartment Association Lyceum Candidate. Apart from his industry commitments, Mr. Mattingly also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Montessori: New Beginnings Academy, a non-profit private school in Plano. He is a licensed Private Pilot. Mr. Mattingly has earned real estate licenses in Texas and Colorado. He graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. from the School of Speech.
