LUMA Residential Inc. was founded in 1984 and is an Accredited Management Organization designated by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), specializing in real estate services for the apartment industry. Based in Dallas, LUMA Residential Inc. has more than 150 employees working to provide property management services in numerous Texas cities. LUMA Residential Inc. strives to deliver consistent positive project performance for its real estate clients by providing proactive, professional real estate services enhanced by local market expertise.

Our Residents provide the funds that pay for the business of Property Management and return money to our Investors. Great Performance Requires Great People

LumaCorp, Inc. was formed by Jim Mattingly, in 1984 to provide third-party property management and construction services. In 1989, Rich Kelly joined Jim as a principal bringing his expertise, as well as an owned apartment portfolio, to the firm. Throughout the 1990’s and early 2000’s LUMA partnered with HNWs, trusts, family, partnerships, and offices to grow through acquisition, divesting its last third-party In 2015, Ian Mattingly, joined Jim and Rich as a partner and principal to help continue to grow LUMA’s portfolio, as well as its reputation as one of the Southwest’s leading residential property managers. In 2020 Rockport Equity joined the LumaCorp principals as co-owners, resulting in the launch of LUMA Residential and propelling continued growth across a broad array of residential rental property types. Nevertheless, Our MISSION is how we achieve our PURPOSE. By delivering EDGES, meaning unique approaches or advantages over our competition, we can better ELEVATE the Quality of Life for everyone within the Communities we serve: Employees, Residents, and Investors.

LUMA Residential brings a wealth of experience, a brilliant team with exceptionally high standards, and a deep respect for residents in the Texas multifamily housing industry. We are dedicated to our mission which is to: Deliver an Edge at every stage of the Employee, Property, and Investment Life Cycle. We do this by combing through the real estate market and looking for properties that are undervalued and/or underperforming. When it is exactly the right time, the right market, and the right property, we bring our investors together to purchase the property, giving us the chance to elevate our communities, once more. Elevating quality of life is the lens we use to make all critical business decisions. If something doesn’t elevate the quality of life for one or more of our Communities, we don’t do it.
